How the workshops will be conducted/ How to Apply/Mode of selection   

Five workshops will be conducted over two and a half years, with a gap of six months between each workshop.

Advertisements will be put out through journals, emails and notices well in advance.  

M.A /M.Phil /Ph.D. level students or aspiring art professionals who have already worked on curatorial projects, young art writers/artists can apply for participation in the workshop.

The Baroda/Vadodara Workshop will be held from 13 to 18 September 2010.
 
Those who aspire to be selected for the workshop have to send in a 150 to 300 word abstract/concept note/synopsis of a curatorial project s/he would like to conceptualize and materialize to artcurationworkshop@gmail.com along with a Curriculum Vitae/Bio-data.

Note: A person can participate in the workshop only once. Anyone who has applied and has been selected and fails to participate in the workshop cannot apply a second time. 

The Last date for receiving the concept note and CV for the Baroda/Vadodara workshop will be 5th August, 2010.

Following completion of the screening of applications, the selected participants would be intimated through email by 13th August, 2010. 

The Project Directors will put together a collection of 8-10 key essays on curation, which will be circulated in advance, one month before each workshop. The participants will be expected to make small presentations based on these.

Presentations will be followed by discussions and will be interspersed with lecturers by resource persons.

On the basis of the feedback received, the participants will re-write their curatorial concept notes and make a second or even third presentation.

Further feedback process will be put in place through the website allowing learning from participants from other workshops, thereby leading from one workshop into the next. The website will be an important tool to allow this continuum.

The selected participants will be provided with reading list, reading materials, travel (2nd A/C train fare (except in the Rajadahani Express trains), taxi/auto fare within the city), accommodation and local hospitality.
